Judith Burchett
Judith Burchett studied with Sascha Lasserson and at the RCM with Antonio Brosa. From there she went to the New BBC Orchestra in Bristol where, as well as giving concerts and regular broadcasts, she received chamber music coaching from the Amadeus String Quartet.
In London as a freelance, Judith accepted an invitation from the RCM to teach and coach chamber music in the Junior Department, a post she enjoyed for over 30 years. She also taught at the RWCMD, mentored young string quartets and was for many years Head of Strings on the Hampshire Specialist Music Course. Her former pupils are to be found in most of the country's leading ensembles and major orchestras.
Judith continues to play and is in demand as teacher, chamber music coach and adjudicator.
